Mkay. So, Battle Royale is NOT a children's movie XD. If you like blood and gore, then this is the movie for you... if not, I highly advise you do not watch this.
The original Battle Royale was a novel, and was made into a manga, and now a live action movie. The live action movie was released in 2000, and the movie became so popular (it's practically a cult classic) that they made a Battle Royale 2 in 2003.
...an interesting piece of information is that the main character, Shuya, is played by the actor Tatsuya Fujiwara, who is playing Light Yagami in the live-action Death Note movie. (HE'S SO CUTE!!!!! WAHHH!!! >.< I'm a rabid fangirl. XD)
